The Caproni Ca.314 was an Italian twin-engine attack and torpedo bomber used in the Second World War, derived from the similar Ca.310 and used mainly for ground attack and torpedo bombing. It was the most extensively built Ca.310 derivative, with variants for light bombing, convoy escort and maritime patrol, torpedo bombing and ground attack. The Ca.314B, also called the Ca.314-RA, was a torpedo bomber that carried one torpedo of up to 900 kilograms, a 500 kilogram bomb or two 250 kilogram bombs, and 80 were built, while a later third series with 780 horsepower engines accounted for 254 more. The specification listed for the Ca.314A gives a crew of three, two Isotta Fraschini Delta inverted air-cooled V-12 piston engines of 540 kilowatts each and a maximum speed of 395 kilometres per hour.
