The Consolidated B-24 Liberator is a four engine heavy bomber that first flew in 1939 and was produced in greater numbers than any other American military aircraft of the Second World War. Flown by the United States and several Allied air forces, it served widely as a bomber, maritime patrol aircraft and transport across every theater of the war.
