Shatabdi Express is a series of fast passenger trains operated by Indian Railways. These are day trains that mostly return to their origin station the same day, functioning as same-day return intercity services rather than overnight journeys. The trains run at a maximum permissible speed of 110 to 130 kilometers per hour depending on the infrastructure of the corresponding route.
