Operational Status

This dimension groups a route or service by whether it is still running, suspended or withdrawn. Wikipedia notes that heritage railways are "often old railway lines preserved in a state depicting a period (or periods) in the history of rail transport, but mainly serve tourism or rail enthusiasts and do not derive significant income from hauling freight or other purposes," a status very different from an everyday commercial service. Browsing by operational status separates services still doing daily work from those kept running only for history or tourism.
