Automobile Manufacturers

Companies that design and build motor cars, from the first American and French automobile makers to the global car groups. An entry belongs here when the cited article calls the company an automobile or car manufacturer. It excludes aircraft makers, rail builders and shipyards. Entries are placed by what their own cited article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
