The DHC-6 Series 200 was the second production series of the de Havilland Canada Twin Otter, a Canadian twin turboprop STOL utility aircraft. Series 200 production began in 1968 with serial number 116. The changes introduced at the start of the series improved the aircraft's STOL performance, added a longer nose with a larger baggage compartment (except on aircraft fitted with floats) and fitted a larger door to the rear baggage compartment. Like the Series 1 prototypes and the Series 100 aircraft, and their variants including the 110 and 210, it kept the 550 shaft horsepower PT6A-20 engines. The more powerful Series 300 followed in 1969, beginning with serial number 231.
