Sheila Scott

Sheila Christine Scott, born Hopkins on 27 April 1922 and died on 20 October 1988, was an English aviator who broke over 100 aviation records through her long-distance flights. The source lead describes a 34,000 mile flight in 1971, which she called a world and a half flight, on which she became the first person to fly over the North Pole in a small aircraft. It also states that she was the first European woman to fly solo around the world. The lead names her as an OBE but does not name the aircraft she used, the dates of her other records or her early flying career.
