The HPD LM-V8 is a naturally aspirated, four-stroke, 3.4 litre V8 racing engine designed and produced by Honda Performance Development for a range of Le Mans Prototype race cars from 2007 to 2013. It is also known as the Acura or HPD LM-AR6 and the Acura AL7R. It was the first engine designed and developed solely by HPD in its Santa Clarita, California facilities, and it was mated to a jointly developed HPD-Hewland six-speed sequential gearbox and breathed through a 40.7 millimetre inlet restrictor. In its debut race, the 2007 12 Hours of Sebring, Andretti Green Racing won the LMP2 class and finished second overall in an Acura ARX-01a. It also powered the HPD ARX-03, the Lola B08/80 and the Pescarolo 01.
