Interlining

Interlining is a voluntary commercial agreement between two or more airlines that lets a passenger travel on a single ticket across flights operated by different carriers, without rechecking baggage or re-entering the terminal at each connection. A designated plating carrier collects the full fare and distributes the proceeds to the operating airlines through a clearing house, and a missed connection caused by delay is typically rebooked onto the next available interline flight at no extra charge.
