The second-generation Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa was released by Mitsubishi in 1973. It was similar to the first generation, the main difference being a largely revised front design, and a large number of its components could be shared with Mitsubishi trucks. At the start the range had the BC2, a short-range gasoline version, the BE2, a short-range diesel version, and the BH2, a long-range diesel version. In 1981 the BK2 series was introduced as a long-range version with a width of 2.3 metres. The generation ran until the third generation, the BE4, replaced it in June 1986 with a cab-forward profile. By this time the Rosa was a Mitsubishi Fuso product, having replaced the Fuso MB720 minibus in 1966 after the merger of three companies into the new Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1964.
