The Hino Melpha is a medium-duty bus built by Hino Motors through the J-Bus joint venture. The range has been available mainly as a tourist coach since 1998. It came in two lengths in its first series: the Melpha 7, a 7 metre bus, built from 1998 to 2004, and the Melpha 9, a 9 metre bus, built from 1999 to 2004. The Melpha 7 is 7 metres (23 feet) long and the Melpha 9 is 9 metres (30 feet) long, so the two models differ mainly in length.
