The Dennis Loline was a low-height double-decker bus built by Dennis between 1958 and 1966. It was in essence a licence-built Bristol Lodekka, supplied to municipal, British Electric Traction and independent fleets at a time when Bristol sold only to state-owned bus companies. Production was due to stop in 1962 but resumed and ran to 1966. Three versions appeared: the rear-entrance Loline, the front-entrance Loline II, and the Loline III with a revised front grille, clutch and constant-mesh gearbox. Barton Transport's lowbridge example of 1961 was the lowest roofed double-decker in Britain, built to pass under an ultra-low railway bridge at Sawley Junction. Aldershot and District ran the most, 141, and China Motor Bus put one into Hong Kong service in 1963, the first double-decker on Hong Kong Island.
