The Dennis Jubilant was a front-engined double-decker bus chassis built by Dennis between 1977 and 1981, designed for the hilly roads and one-man operation of Hong Kong. A set-back front axle let the entrance sit ahead of the axle, the chassis frame was strengthened, and a Gardner 6LXB engine with a Voith DIWA automatic gearbox could be fitted. Kowloon Motor Bus tried four prototypes in 1977 and 1978, then bought 209 with Alexander KB bodies and 150 with Duple Metsec bodies. China Motor Bus ordered 30, and one chassis went to Cape Town. Kowloon Motor Bus withdrew the last in January 2000. Its competitor was the Leyland Victory Mark 2.
