The Albion Valiant VL was a bus chassis built by Albion Motors of Scotstoun, Glasgow, from 1967 to 1972, the last use of the Valiant name. It was similar to the rear-engined Viking models of the time, but was fitted with the tropical cooling unit used on the VK45 and with axles taken from the Clydesdale. Its parts therefore came from both the Viking buses and the Clydesdale range. British Leyland eliminated the Albion name in 1972, so the Valiant VL ended in the same year that complete Albion vehicles stopped being sold under the marque, although the Scotstoun works kept building vehicles under the Leyland brand until 1980.
