The TJ and CA series is the family of naturally aspirated Formula One engines that Cosworth built between 2005 and 2013, a 3.0-litre V10 line followed by a 2.4-litre V8 line. Customer engines were used by Minardi, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Williams, Lotus, HRT, Virgin and Marussia. The 2006 rules required a 90 degree V8 of at most 2.4 litres with a bore of no more than 98 mm and a minimum weight of 95 kg, and the CA2006 that Williams began testing in November 2005 produced about 755 bhp at 19,250 rpm. The 2006 season saw the highest rev limits in Formula One history, with Cosworth reaching just over 20,000 rpm, before a 19,000 rpm limit arrived in 2007. In 2010 Cosworth returned as supplier to Williams, Hispania, Lotus Racing and Virgin Racing with the CA2010, the same V8 base retuned for the 18,000 rpm limit.
