The Cosworth CR is a series of 3.0-litre, naturally aspirated V10 Formula One engines that Cosworth designed in partnership with Ford and that raced from 1999 to 2005. It grew out of the CR-1, a much lighter development of the VJM that the Stewart Grand Prix team used from its first season in 1997 and that ultimately reached 770 bhp at 16,500 rpm by 2001. Customer engines went to Stewart, Jaguar, Arrows, Jordan and Minardi. Ford bought the Stewart team and renamed it Jaguar Racing for 2000, and after Jaguar pulled out of Formula One at the end of 2004 the team, renamed Red Bull Racing, kept using Cosworth V10 engines until it switched to a Ferrari V8 for 2006, while Minardi ran re-badged Cosworth engines until 2005.
