Godzilla is the nickname of a family of heavy duty gasoline V8 engines from Ford. It was meant to replace the 6.8 litre Triton V10 and the 6.2 litre Boss V8 in many uses. It was introduced at 7.3 litres on the Super Duty trucks from the 2020 model year, reached the E-Series for 2021, and gained a 6.8 litre variant in 2023 that was dropped for 2027. The pushrod OHV heads keep it smaller than many overhead camshaft Modular engines, and its outside dimensions sit between those of the 460 and the 351 Windsor. It has siamesed cylinders, a variable displacement oil pump and knock sensors from the Boss, is sold as a crate engine, and a performance version is called Megazilla.
