The McLaren F1 is a British sports car produced from 1992 to 1998, designed by Gordon Murray with a distinctive central driving position flanked by two passenger seats and a body making extensive use of carbon fiber. On its release it was the fastest production car in the world, a record it held for years, and it is widely regarded as one of the finest sports cars ever engineered.
