Wolseley introduced the Ten in February 1939, based on the 1938 Morris Ten Series M but with a steel chassis with cruciform bracing. At launch it was priced at 215 pounds, 40 pounds more than the Morris, with the option of a built in Jackall system able to lift a wheel hydraulically for an extra five pounds. In June 1939 a factory built two door drophead coupe priced at 270 pounds joined the saloon.
