In May 1968 a Mark II version of the Wolseley 18/85 was launched, and the 1800S twin carburettor 95 bhp engine came in from October 1968. The Wolseley of 1968 was the front wheel drive larger family car in its second year, a BMC ADO17 with its Wolseley badge, informally called the Landcrab for the car's exceptional width and overall appearance, and sold alongside the Austin and Morris versions. It was sold from 1967.
