The Wolseley 1300 was dropped in 1973, as the range was gradually reduced, the MG 1300 having been dropped in 1971. The 1970s saw British Leyland discontinue the Wolseley marque and sell most of its model ranges under a solitary brand. The Wolseley 1100 had been introduced in 1965 as a version of the ADO16 mechanically similar to the MG 1100, and was assembled in Malta and New Zealand from CKD kits.
