The Willys Jeep Station Wagon, also sold as the Jeep Utility Wagon and the Jeep Panel Delivery, was produced by Willys and later Kaiser Jeep in the United States from 1946 to 1964, with Argentine and Brazilian production running to 1970 and 1977. It was the first mass-market all-steel station wagon designed and built as a passenger vehicle, styled by Brooks Stevens, and after a four-wheel-drive option arrived in 1949 the two-wheel-drive version kept the Station Wagon name while the four-wheel-drive version was called the Utility Wagon. The four-wheel-drive wagon is often counted as the first production sport utility vehicle. More than 300,000 were built in the United States, and it was also assembled abroad under licence and from kits.
