The Mercedes-Benz Universal is a collective name for the first station wagons offered by the German maker Mercedes-Benz. The cars were built between 1964 and 1973 at the I.M.A. Malines factory in Mechelen. The first model to be built as a station wagon was the W110 version of the 230, in 1964. Station wagons on other car series followed later, among them the W111 (220), the W114 (230), the W115 (220) and the 250 SE (250), so the name covers a group of conversions on several series and not a single design. The Dutch Wikipedia article is short, and this entry claims nothing beyond what it states.
