Mazda MX Sport Tourer

Automobiles

The Mazda MX Sport Tourer is a concept car built by Mazda and shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2001 beside the Mazda RX-8. Its body combines an estate layout with the look of a coupe, with doors that open in opposite directions and a wide glass roof. The styling follows the Zoom-Zoom design language of the period, and some of its lines, notably the front end, were later reflected in the first generation Mazda6. The concept was shown with a hybrid drivetrain in which an electric motor works with a two litre S-VT petrol engine, driving all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive system.
