Ford Station Wagon

Automobiles

The Ford Station Wagon series was Ford's estate car line for the 1955 to 1968 model years, when the company gave its wagons a model series of their own instead of filing each one under a sedan range. Trim names across the period included Ranch Wagon, Country Sedan, Country Squire, Parklane Wagon, Del Rio and Custom Wagon. Power came from an inline six-cylinder or a V8 engine, and the styling followed the full-size Ford sedans through four major redesigns. From 1969 the wagons went back to the individual sedan series such as Custom, Galaxie 500, LTD and Fairlane. Roughly 1.18 million were built in the first five years of the series.
