Chevrolet Handyman

Automobiles

The Chevrolet Handyman was a three- or five-door station wagon that General Motors built under the Chevrolet marque in the 1953 to 1957 model years. In 1953 the five-door, six-seat wagons of the Special 150 and Deluxe 210 lines took the Handyman name, and from 1955 the name described the three-door wagons while the five-door ones were called Beauville. All cars had a 3.9 litre inline six-cylinder engine with a manual three-speed gearbox or a two-speed Powerglide automatic, and from 1955 a 4.3 litre V8 of 162 bhp was also offered. In 1958 the One-Fifty was replaced by the Del Ray, whose three-door wagon was called the Yeoman, and the Two-Ten gave way to the Biscayne.
