Buick Estate

Automobiles

The Buick Estate is a nameplate used by Buick to denote its full-size station wagon line. It was initially marketed from 1940 to 1964 and was sold again from 1970 to 1996. The Estate name was derived both from the term country estate in wealthy suburban areas and from estate car, the British term for a station wagon. Serving as the flagship station wagon line of General Motors, the Buick Estate was slotted slightly above its Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser divisional counterpart.
