Wolseley Fourteen

Automobiles

The name Wolseley Fourteen was used for three successive mid-range cars. The first appeared in 1923 and was built until 1926, when the 16/35, on sale since 1925, replaced it; it had a water-cooled four-cylinder engine of 2,614 cubic centimetres with side valves. A second Fourteen appeared in 1935 with an overhead-camshaft six-cylinder engine of 1,604 cubic centimetres and lasted until the 14/56 replaced it in 1937. A third, from 1938, used an 1,818 cubic centimetre six, was built as a four-door saloon and, after a wartime break, ran again from 1946 to 1948.
