The Wolseley 16/45 was a mid-range car that Wolseley launched in 1927 as its first six-cylinder model with an overhead camshaft. The in-line six-cylinder engine displaced 2,025 cubic centimetres, the wheelbase was 2,972 millimetres, the body measured 4,445 millimetres by 1,791 millimetres and the bare chassis weighed 914 kilograms. The top speed was 95 kilometres per hour. A stronger version with two SU carburettors, the Wolseley Viper, was built only in the 1931 model year, and in 1933 the nearly identical Sixteen replaced the 16/45.
