Renault 8 CV

The Renault 8 CV was a series of passenger car models from the French maker Renault, built before the First World War, where CV stands for the tax horsepower. According to the German article the series included the Type L (1902 to 1903), the Type M (1903), the Type Z (1905), the Type AG (1905 to 1914), the Type AJ (1906 to 1909), the Type AL (1907), the Type AN (1907) and the Type AX (1908 to 1913). Before the Second World War there was also a later model that was marketed under the designation 8 CV, the Type SO, built from 1928 to 1929, so the name was used for two separate periods of the company.
