The Pontiac Big Six was an upper mid-range car built by Pontiac, a marque of General Motors, from 1929 to 1932. It replaced the New Series and was the only passenger car of the marque until 1931, and an eight-cylinder model was added beside it in 1932. It appeared in January 1929 as the New Big Six with the serial number 6-29, was revised as the 6-29A and 6-30B, and was restyled for 1931 as the Fine Six 401. Its side-valve inline six-cylinder engine displaced 3,277 cubic centimetres and produced 60 bhp. Body styles included the roadster, cabriolet, coupe and four-door sedan, and styling for the first car took its cue from the British Vauxhall. The Pontiac Standard and Pontiac Deluxe lines were its successors.
