Plymouth Model PA

The Plymouth Model PA was a mid-size car that Chrysler built under the Plymouth name for the 1931 model year, with the two-door Thrift Sedan priced at only 495 US dollars, 95 dollars less than the business coupe of the year before. Its side-valve inline four of 3,214 cubic centimetres now produced 56 brake horsepower (41 kilowatts), and the engine was mounted on rubber for the first time, which made the car noticeably quieter and more comfortable. Bodies and chassis were new, with an elegant oval rear window, and the radiator cap carried a figure. Phaetons, two- and four-door sedans, coupes, roadsters and a convertible were offered. 106,896 had been built when the New Finer Plymouth, Model PB, replaced it in February 1932.
