The Nash Special Eight was a line of eight-cylinder cars from Nash Motors of Kenosha, Wisconsin, built from 1932 to 1933 as the successor to the 980. The Model 1080, introduced on 1 March 1932, had a 3,251 mm wheelbase and an overhead-valve in-line eight of 4.3 litres rated at 100 horsepower, with the drivetrain and four-wheel mechanical brakes of the previous year and open and closed bodies seating two to five. For 1933 the Model 1170 took the chassis, engine and look of the previous Standard Eight, a class lower, with a 3,073 mm wheelbase and a side-valve 4.1 litre engine of 85 horsepower, to separate it from the larger models. The small eights ended without a successor in 1934.
