The Mercedes-Benz W145, known inside the company as the Type 190 VB, was a prototype middle-class saloon with front-wheel drive that Daimler-Benz built in 1936 and 1937. It was designed by Hans Gustav Röhr, who had come from Adler and modelled the car on the Adler Trumpf. The four-door body sat on a 3000 millimetre wheelbase and the car was powered by a side-valve flat-six engine of 1914 cubic centimetres that gave 37 kilowatts and a top speed of 120 kilometres per hour. Only four test cars were made. After Röhr died in August 1937 the project was stopped and every test car was scrapped, so the W145 left no production successor.
