The Lincoln EL series was a full size luxury car that Lincoln offered between 1949 and 1951, replacing the H series and the first complete redesign of the Lincoln sedan line since 1936. It carried only the Lincoln nameplate, with no model name, and sat below the Cosmopolitan. It was the first Lincoln developed under the combined Lincoln-Mercury Division, with a V8 for the first time since 1933. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1949 to 1951).
