The Lancia Trikappa was a luxury car built by Lancia from 1922 to 1925 as the flagship of its production, with 847 made. It was offered as a bare rolling chassis, a torpedo or a six-seat coupe de ville. Its 4,594 cc Tipo 68 V8 was the first of Lancia's narrow V engines, a feature the maker kept until the 1970s, with a 14 degree angle between the cylinder banks and a single overhead camshaft. It produced 98 hp at 2,500 rpm for a top speed of 130 km/h. It was also the first Lancia with brakes on all four wheels, although early cars left the factory with rear brakes only. A narrow V12 shown in 1919 had been judged too expensive to build.
