Lancia Beta (1909)

Automobiles

The Lancia 15/20 HP, Type 54, known as the Beta, was an automobile built by Lancia in Italy in 1909, with 150 examples made before the 20 HP Gamma replaced it in 1910. It took over from the earlier 12 HP Alfa and 18/24 HP Dialfa models and was basically a modernised version of the 12 HP. The engine was enlarged from 2.5 to 3.1 litres, which raised its power from 28 hp to 34 hp, and the wheelbase was lengthened from 282 cm to 293.2 cm.
