Ford CX

Automobiles

The Ford CX was a small family car built by Ford UK from 1935 to 1937, the deluxe version of the Ford Model C Ten. It was powered by the 1172 cc Ford sidevalve engine of ten horsepower that had come with the Model C, and it was offered with two-door Tudor and four-door Fordor bodies. It was launched in October 1935 as an evolution of the Model C, with chrome strips on the grille and bonnet meant to make the car look less austere beside the new Model 60 V8. English Wikipedia counts 96,553 cars built over its life, though another reference puts the total for the whole Model C and CX family nearer 70,000. In 1937 the CX was superseded by the Ford 7W.
