Dodge Series D8

Automobiles

The Dodge Series D8 appeared in October 1937 for the 1938 model year, replacing the Series D5, and 1938 production ran from September 1937 until July 1938, the usual pattern for Dodge at the time. There was again a Junior line of Plymouths with Dodge badges and trim for Canada and export markets, with the main version sometimes called the Senior Dodge. The D8 was largely a facelifted D5 and kept the same 218 cubic inch flathead straight-six making 87 horsepower, a single-disc dry clutch and a three-speed manual gearbox. Most sat on the 115 inch wheelbase, and the Limousine with a division window had leather in front and velvet mohair in the rear.
