Dodge Senior

The Dodge Senior was a large six-cylinder passenger car introduced by Dodge Brothers of Detroit in May 1927 and built for two more years after Chrysler took over the company in 1928. It was the first six-cylinder Dodge, using a side-valve inline six of 3,676 cubic centimetres rated at 60 brake horsepower (44 kilowatts), with a three-speed gearbox and hydraulic brakes on all four wheels. The car went through several series: 2249, then 2251 and 2252 from January 1928 with 68 brake horsepower, the S Series in mid-1928 with a longer wheelbase and a 3,959 cubic centimetre engine, and the DB Series from mid-1929 with a four-speed gearbox. Bodies included sedans, coupes, roadsters and convertibles. The DH Series replaced it from November 1930.
