The Dodge Luxury Liner, also known as the Series D11 and later the Series D14 and D17, was a six-cylinder passenger car sold by Dodge of Detroit, introduced in October 1938 as the 1939 model and successor to the D8 Series. Its side-valve inline six of 3,569 cubic centimetres produced 87 brake horsepower (64 kilowatts) with a three-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive. It came in a plainer Special and a better equipped Deluxe, and the Deluxe was also built on a long chassis as a seven-seat sedan and a Pullman sedan. The bodies were completely redesigned, with headlamps built into larger fenders and a broad forward-leaning grille. For 1940 it was revised and the Deluxe gained a five-seat convertible; the name was dropped in September 1940.
