Dodge DL-Series

The Dodge DL Series was a six-cylinder passenger car sold by Dodge of Detroit, introduced in January 1932 in a completely revised form as the successor to the DH Series. Its side-valve inline six displaced 3,569 cubic centimetres, with the stroke lengthened by an eighth of an inch, and produced 79 brake horsepower (58 kilowatts) at 3,400 revolutions a minute, driving the rear wheels through a single-plate dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox. A semi-automatic version with a vacuum-operated clutch was optional. The wheelbase grew to 2,908 millimetres, and bodies were a four-door sedan, three two-door coupes and two convertibles, plus bare chassis for coachbuilders. The DP Series replaced it in November 1932.
