Dodge DC-Series

The Dodge DC Series was a mid-size passenger car sold by Dodge of Detroit, introduced in January 1930 as the first Dodge with an eight-cylinder engine. Its side-valve inline eight displaced 3,617 cubic centimetres and produced 75 brake horsepower (55 kilowatts) through a single-plate dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox, with hydraulic brakes on all four wheels and a 2,896 millimetre wheelbase. Bodies were a four-door phaeton, a four-door sedan, a two-door coupe, a two-door convertible and a roadster, and bare chassis with all mechanical parts were supplied to customers who wanted their own coachbuilder. Production of the small eight ended in September 1931.
