Chrysler CM

The Chrysler Series CM was the middle line of the Chrysler range, built in Detroit for the 1931 and 1932 model years as the replacement for the Series 66. Its side-valve inline six of 3,569 cubic centimetres produced 78 brake horsepower (57 kilowatts) through a three-speed gearbox, with hydraulic brakes on all four wheels. Seven body styles were offered, with a new V-shaped radiator grille and a lowered frame that made the cars look sleek. Production continued into 1932 with small changes, 38,817 cars were built in total, and the revised Series CI replaced the CM during the 1932 model year.
