The Chrysler Series CJ was the smallest Chrysler line of its time, built in Detroit for the 1930 and 1931 model years beside the Series 66. Its side-valve inline six of 3,205 cubic centimetres produced 62 brake horsepower (46 kilowatts) through a three-speed gearbox, with hydraulic brakes on all four wheels. It was the first Chrysler to abandon the older naming scheme that referred to the top speed in miles per hour. 29,239 cars were built over the two years, after which the CJ was dropped without a successor.
