Chrysler CI

The Chrysler Series CI was a six-cylinder passenger car built in Detroit for the 1932 model year. It replaced the Series CM and, after the smaller types were dropped, was the cheapest Chrysler line. Its side-valve inline six of 3,670 cubic centimetres produced 82 brake horsepower (60 kilowatts) through a three-speed gearbox, with hydraulic brakes on all four wheels. Eight body styles were offered. The open cars had a new two-piece V-shaped windscreen while the closed cars kept the one-piece glass of their predecessor, and the engine now sat on rubber mountings with an optional semi-automatic transmission. 18,964 Series CI cars were built, and the revised Series CO replaced it for 1933.
