Chrysler 60

The Chrysler Series 60 was a mid-size six-cylinder passenger car that Chrysler built in Detroit for the 1927 model year, sold beside the larger Series 70. Its side-valve inline six displaced 2,953 cubic centimetres and produced 54 brake horsepower (40 kilowatts), driving the rear wheels through a single-plate dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox, with hydraulic brakes on all four wheels as standard. Seven body styles were offered, the same ones as the four-cylinder Series 50. For 1928 it was renamed the Series 62, with an optional higher-compression engine of 60 brake horsepower, and 64,136 of those were built. Production figures for the Series 60 itself are not known. The revised Series 65 replaced it for 1929.
