Chevrolet Special Deluxe

The Chevrolet Special Deluxe was a mid-range car that Chevrolet built in the United States in the 1940 to 1942 model years as a more luxurious variant of the Master Deluxe. Introduced in 1940 as Serie KA, it was the top model and pushed the Master Deluxe into the middle of the range, and it was recognisable by extra stainless trim on the bonnet and body. It had an alligator bonnet and headlamps sunk into the front wings. Six bodies were offered, namely two coupes, a two-door cabriolet, two- and four-door sedans and a five-door eight-seat station wagon. The 1941 Serie AH had a 3.55 litre engine of 90 bhp, and the 1942 cars carried the Serie BH designation with Fleetline and Fleetmaster variants. After the war the Fleetmaster series replaced it.
