Buick Serie D-Four

The Buick Series D-Four was a range of four-cylinder cars that Buick built in the United States for the 1917 model year only. It came as a two-seat roadster, the D-34, and a five-seat touring car, the D-35, both on a 2,692 millimetre wheelbase. They had an overhead-valve engine of 2,786 cubic centimetres giving 35 brake horsepower, or 25.7 kilowatts, and looked like the larger D-54 and D-55 of the same year. The E-Four series carried the design on without large change in 1918 and added a five-seat two-door sedan, and about 56,740 cars were made across the three models in two years, nearly 49,540 of them touring cars. Four-cylinder Buicks were dropped in 1919, returned in 1922 as the Series 22-Four through 24-Four, and gave way to the Standard Six from 1925.
