The Buick Modell D (Model D) was a five-seat touring car that Buick built in the United States for the 1907 and 1908 model years. It was the first four-cylinder model the company produced. It was sold beside an otherwise identical roadster, the Model S, and in 1907 also in two versions with a two-speed planetary transmission, the touring Model H and the roadster Model K. The inline four-cylinder engine displaced 4,178 cubic centimetres and produced 30 horsepower (22 kilowatts), with shaft drive to the rear wheels. Unlike the two-cylinder cars of the same maker, the Models D and S had a spur-gear transmission with three forward speeds. The touring cars rode on a wheelbase of 2,705 millimetres and were painted royal blue with ivory wood-spoke wheels. Buick built 1,066 Model D cars over the two years, against 442 Model S roadsters, 36 Model H and 13 Model K. In 1909 the Models 16 and 17 replaced the D and the S.
